I-1: Why do I get a Path/File Access error received when starting a CQuest LAN program?

This is a security issue, your login id or group has not been given proper permissions on the appropriate folders. Refer to the Security Settings Section in the Installation Guide

I-2: Why do I get a "Missing .ocx or .dll" message when starting a CQuest program?

CQuest LAN requires a workstation install for each workstation that will run a CQuest program from a shared drive. If you receive this message, the CQuest Workstation has not been installed on the PC receiving the error. Please refer to the Workstation Install Section in the Installation Guide

G-2: What causes the message "User Count Exceeded"?

Resetting User Count: There are two reasons the "number of licensed users' exceeded" message may appear: (1) CQLAN: CQuest counts the number of users that are running the program at one time. If more try to take a test than are licensed, the message will appear. When another user is finished, the next one may take a test. (2) CQLAN or CQPC: If no one is running a CQuest program and the message appears, it means that CQuest ended abnormally, and the user count was not decreased. This can happen when Windows is shut down while programs are running, or if a program was forced to end. Run the CQuest Launchpad (CQSA.exe in the Admin6 folder) and click the menu item Reset users.
